HOW MUCH DO HOT TUBS COST?

The price of a quality hot tub can range from about $8,000 to upwards of $18,000, while lower-quality spas are often priced between $2,000 and $4,000. The price can depend on factors such as:

• Brand
• Model
• Age
• Location
• Features
• Size
• Capacity
• Materials

Hot tubs with a higher price point often offer a better overall experience, including things like an ergonomic design, full insulation, user-friendly control system, energy-saving options, powerful and adjustable jets, and water that is safe and clean. Not to mention that the materials used to build these hot tubs are up to much higher standards, meaning that they tend to be more durable and last longer, resulting in fewer repairs and upgrades.

HOW MUCH DO HOT TUBS WEIGH?

The weight of a hot tub can depend on factors such as the volume, size and material. Smaller, two to three-person hot tubs generally weigh between 2,000 and 3,000 lbs when filled with water. Larger, six to eight-person hot tubs can weigh 4,000 to 5,500 lbs or more once filled. No matter where your hot tub is installed, you should ensure that you have a solid foundation that can support the weight evenly.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE THE HOT TUB WATER?

Your hot tub should be drained, cleaned and refilled every three to four months. The frequency that you change the water can depend on factors like how much the hot tub is used, the quality of the chemicals used to treat the water, how well it is cleaned and maintained, and the cleanliness of the water. If you notice that the water is cloudy, foamy or murky, changing the water might be the best solution to correct the issue.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE THE HOT TUB FILTER?

You will need to change your hot tub filter annually. An expert at your local hot tub store will be able to help you find the right filter for your spa. As for ongoing maintenance, your hot tub filter needs to be rinsed with water from the house about every two weeks. Every two months, give your filter a deeper cleaning by soaking it overnight in a spa filter cleaning solution. Do not put your filter in the dishwasher or use any products on your filter other than a filter cleaner found at your local hot tub store.

CAN I USE A HOT TUB WHILE PREGNANT?

Yes you can use a hot tub during certain stages of pregnancy, with approval from your physician. To ensure the best health of you and your baby, speak with your physician first to find out the best way to use a hot tub during your pregnancy.

DO HOT TUBS COST A LOT OF MONEY TO RUN?

Hot tubs that are equipped with energy-efficient technology often do not cost a lot of money to operate. In fact, depending on your location, hot tub model and how it is operated, it can cost as little as $15 a month to run. Energy-efficient features can include full-foam insulation, economy settings, LED lighting, and a cover.

WHAT IS HYDROTHERAPY?

Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic technique that is commonly used by physiotherapists to help their patients to recover following a muscle or joint injury. It utilizes the combination of heat, buoyancy and massage to help the body relax, relieve pressure from sore muscles and joints, and ease built-up tension.

Benefits of hydrotherapy can include:
• Eased physical aches and pains
• Soothed joint pain from arthritis
• Relief from built-up muscle tension
• Better, more consistent sleep patterns
• Reduced feelings of stress and anxiety
• Better post-injury recovery process
• Brighter and clearer skin

WHAT IS A SWIM SPA?

A swim spa is an at-home spa system or exercise pool that can be installed above or below ground. Ranging in length from 12 to 18 feet, swim spas are often described as a hybrid between a hot tub and swimming pool, since they have two separate areas similar to both systems that are separated by a wall. The larger side of the spa, similar to a pool, is perfect for recreation and exercise. The other side, like a hot tub, has seats and jets for rest and relaxation. Also known as “all weather pools” or “all season pools”, swim spas can be used throughout the year.

HOW BIG IS A SWIM SPA?

Swim spas can range from 12 to 18 feet in length. Most swim spas can seat 2-5 people, with room for more in the recreation area.

CAN YOU EXERCISE IN A SWIM SPA?

All season pools are built for exercise and recreation. Most all season pools will offer a long and deep area perfect for swimming and working out. In fact, they will often have a built-in jet system at the far end that creates a strong enough current of water for one to swim, walk or jog against. The added resistance is perfect for those looking for a low to moderate workout. Without the need to stop, turn around and push off of a wall, swimmers love this modern approach to swimming laps.

Before starting any exercise regimen, we recommend speaking with a physician first to ensure your best health.

WHAT IS THE BEST PATIO FURNITURE TO HAVE?

The kind of patio furniture that you have will depend on the layout of your backyard, your preferences and budget. Opt for durable and long-lasting future that offers a sturdy design and crafted with quality materials. Some of the most common pieces of patio furniture include:

• Couches
• Loungers
• Foot rests
• Coffee tables
• Outdoor dining table
• Chairs
• Side tables
• Gazebos
• Outdoor carpet
• Throw pillows
• Daybed

HOW DO I CLEAN MY PATIO FURNITURE?

How you clean your patio furniture will depend on the item and material. Smooth surfaces such as plastic and glass can be cleaned using soapy water and a cloth. Eliminate streaks with a glass cleaning solution. Fabric materials can be scrubbed with soapy water and a rag or sponge, then rinsed with water from the hose and either hung or laid flat in the sun to dry. If you are unsure of how to clean a certain item, speak with one of the experts where the furniture was purchased.
