3 Best Holiday Hot Tub Drinks You Can Enjoy In The Hot Tub

OUR HOT TUB BLOG

It’s the holiday season! That means festive food and drink just about everywhere you go. Why not bring the seasonal activities into the hot tub with you?

While it’s not recommended that you drink alcohol while in the hot tub or bring a glass with you, there is a variety of festive non-alcoholic hot tub drinks that can be served in plastic glasses, all enjoyed from the comfort of your spa.

Hot Tub Drink #1 – Classic Hot Tub Eggnog

Enjoy 4-5 Servings

This holiday classic can be served with or without alcohol. If you do wish to add alcohol, ensure that it is done after your hot tub soak and that you are well hydrated.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ vanilla extract
  • 6 egg yolks
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Combine milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla in a saucepan over low heat. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale in color. Slowly add the hot milk mixture to the eggs, whisking continuously. Return mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until slightly thick. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream. If adding alcohol, we recommend 1 cup of bourbon or rum. Refrigerate until chilled and then serve with whipped cream.

Hot Tub Drink #2 – Cranberry Pomegranate Bellini’s

Enjoy 12 Servings

Enjoy the holidays or bring in the new year with this sweet and tasty drink. Perfect for children, teens and adults alike, this festive mocktail will have you asking for more!

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup unsweetened 100% cranberry juice
  • ½ cup unsweetened 100% pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Seltzer for mocktail, or prosecco/champagne for cocktail
  • Squeeze of fresh lime juice
  • Whole cranberries and a slice of lime for garnish

DIRECTIONS

To make the simple syrup, stir together fruit juices and sugar in a small pot and then bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Turn to low heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Pour simple syrup into a jar and cool in the refrigerator until ready for use.

Pour 1 oz of the simple syrup into a champagne flute and top with 3-4 oz of seltzer, champagne or prosecco, depending on if you are looking for an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Squeeze a wedge of lime and use a toothpick to skewer a cranberry and lime slice for garnish.

Hot Tub Drink #3 – Candy Cane Sparkler

Just when you thought that the holidays couldn’t get any more festive! The candy cane sparkler is perfect for a holiday party or a nightly soak between you and your significant other.

INGREDIENTS

  • 32 oz 100% pomegranate juice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cans sparkling water, 8 oz each, lime, orange or cranberry flavors
  • 8 candy canes

To create the grenadine, bring the pomegranate juice to a boil over medium-high heat in a saucepan. Reduce the heat and simmer until liquid is reduced by half or about 15-20 minutes. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Pour into a sealable container and refrigerate until completely chilled. Combine ½ cup of flavored water with 1 ½ – 2 tablespoons of grenadine. Pour over ice, add a candy cane for garnish and serve.
