Holiday Drinks You Can Enjoy in the Hot Tub

It’s the holiday season! That means festive food and drink just about everywhere you go. Why not bring the seasonal activities into the hot tub with you? While it’s not recommended that you drink alcohol while in the hot tub or bring a glass with you, there is a variety of festive non-alcoholic drinks that can be served in plastic glasses, all enjoyed from the comfort of your spa.

Classic Eggnog

Enjoy 4-5 Servings

This holiday classic can be served with or without alcohol. If you do wish to add alcohol, ensure that it is done after your hot tub soak and that you are well hydrated.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ vanilla extract
  • 6 egg yolks
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Combine milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla in a saucepan over low heat. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale in color. Slowly add the hot milk mixture to the eggs, whisking continuously. Return mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until slightly thick. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream. If adding alcohol, we recommend 1 cup of bourbon or rum. Refrigerate until chilled and then serve with whipped cream.

Just when you thought that the holidays couldn’t get any more festive! The candy cane sparkler is perfect for a holiday party or a nightly soak between you and your significant other.

INGREDIENTS

  • 32 oz 100% pomegranate juice
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cans sparkling water, 8 oz each, lime, orange or cranberry flavors

Pour over ice, add a candy cane for garnish and serve.
